The challenge

The British Heart Foundation wanted to surprise and delight BHF ‘Champions’ with a personalised ‘Thank You’ video.

The goal was to improve the ‘thank you’ stage of the supporter journey by generating a sense of pride, recognition and excitement among event participants and encouraging ongoing support.


The solution

Using Spirable, BHF created a dynamic video template featuring bespoke animations, and generated over 10,000 unique personalised ‘Thank You’ videos which were distributed to participants via email.

Personalised elements included a participants first name, the name(s) of the event(s) they took part in, their fundraising total (if applicable) and a dynamic animation based on the type of event - run, swim, hike or cycle.

The results

The BHF ‘Champion’ Thank You Campaign leveraged a super-engaged community and provided them with personalised, shareable content. Participants watched 60% of the video on average, and 42.5% of recipients watched the full video.
